rate it plzzzzzzzz?

Aries (March 21 – April 19)
Excellent day to make strange mouth noises, particularly in a crowded elevator.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20)
You will develop a passion for Cajun cuisine, and will refuse to eat anything that hasn’t been "blackened." Your family will draw the line at blackened corn flakes, however.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20)
Today you will be struck by an odd thought. It will do little actual damage, fortunately.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
This might be a good time to consider night school. That’s night, not knight. Unless you enjoy clanking around in armor, of course. Some people do.
Leo (July 23 – August 22)
Remember: it’s a pride of lions, a gaggle of geese, and a murder of crows. More important for you today, though: a group of budgies is a "bludgeoning. "
Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
Stay home today, with the curtains drawn and the door locked. Trust me on this one.
Libra (September 22 – October 22)
Beware of bubonic plague today. Other than that, things will be fairly normal.
Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)
You will be walking along today when you overhear someone making a snide remark about you, drawing an unflattering comparison between your personality, and landfill. A snappy reply will occur to you, sometime late next week.
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)
You will discover a bassoon player hiding in the shrubbery. That’s not something you should try to deal with yourself — call in the professionals.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 20)
Today will be the best day of your life, if you can just remember … er … now what was that? Hmmm. If you can just remember something really important. Otherwise, no. Hmmm.
Aquarius (January 21 – February 18)
This week, you’ll discover a trick to make those meetings seem more interesting. Imagine that everyone else has a ferret clinging to their head.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
You will develop the extremely rare "Perkin’s Disease", and will start having a strange compulsion to shoot things with tranquilizer darts, or sell insurance. Plus, you will try to trick your friend, "Jim", into wrestling a giant anaconda.

funny as f**k just hope others dont take it too personal ‘ im scorpio so you better watch out lol xx keep it up

Why is stupidity/evil increasing in this world?

I have seen some things in my life that just make ponder.
(please note when I use CAPITAL LETTERS I am not yelling at you, I use caps to draw importance to a word)

If I were to compare the intelligence and good nature of people from 10 years ago to today, I would find that 10 years ago was paradise in comparison. And these days the world is hellish.

Some of the things I have seen in my life as evidence:

A long time ago I remember "random acts of kindness." Stuff like someone drops something and ALL the people around that person HELP to pick up all the dropped stuff. "Many hands make light work." This is very wise. And not only that but it is also GOOD.

In recent times I have seen people drop things and NO ONE helps them pick it up. In fact they LAUGH at them, and make fun of them! Not only is this stupid because "what goes around comes around," but it’s really EVIL as well! I mean what the hell happened in 10 years time!? Why is it all of a sudden OK to be stupid and evil? Don’t people realize that when they drop something no one will help them either? That they will be harassed just like they are harassing this person?

A long time ago I would go to the hospital, and the doctor actually CARED for me. He/she did things selflessly, explained what I was suffering from, what to do, how to do it, how often to do it, and so on. I would get better and that was that! Even the nurses cared a lot. They would talk to you, ask you how you were, treated you nicely, and so on.

These days the doctor does not give a DAMM about you! All they care about is the money! $$$$$$$$$$$ Dinero, peso, dollar, yen, you get the point! Doctors schedule appointments TEN MINUTES apart! Keep you waiting in the room for TWO HOURS. Only to keep you waiting in another room for another HOUR! To spend FIVE MINUTES with you. In these FIVE MINUTES the doctor totally ignores you, MISDIAGNOSES you, GIVES YOU the WRONG medication, and then goes off to polish his Lexus, BMW, Jaguar, you get the idea! I have been to DOCTOR AFTER DOCTOR these days and for ALMOST TWO YEARS, yeah 2 YEARS I have been sick with a disease! NO doctor has found out what it is, because none of them give a damm. None of them really care about me, or any paitent. They just care about the money. I’m sure, if they could get away with it, they would just KILL their paitents and steal all their money! That’s what they are doing STEALING! I did not pay all this MONEY to this "doctor" to be ignored and shoved aside. They might as well reach into my pockets take my money and SLAP ME IN THE FACE. At least they would be HONEST in what they are doing to me! And they are also murders by not curing their paitents!

I would read articles in the newspaper about how hospitals gave people FREE care 10 years ago. About some bright kid improving the community but helping out at a shelter or solving a problem. Kids would actually INVENT things. This was not at all unusual at that time.

These days the newspaper reads like it was written by the devil! Horrible stories. I read about this story the other day that just made me sick. A man was laid off from his job, and had to work as a delivery person to make ends meet. He had a device in his body that kept him alive. He needed to have the battery replaced, to contuinue living. But his insurance dropped him, and no hospital would help him. WHY? Because he had no money. He died becuse of a simple thing as getting a bettery replaced. We live in a time where we are so advanced that with a simple surgery we can save a person’s life! YET people are so STUPID and EVIL that they would let a guy DIE because he had no money. Wow, what does one say to that? If this was 10 years ago the hospital would have done it for FREE. They would have HELPED this guy. But no. Not these days. All people do now is help themselves at the cost of others! Other news stories are about how people killed other people, arson, suicide, rape, war, you get the pont. No more stories about a young kid making a difference. All we have now is shows like Gossip Girl telling kids to be GREEDY GREEDY GREEDY. And that’s it! I remember watching the first episode to see what this show was about. And what do I see; rape, greed, hores, sluttyness, no morals, and so on. I did not watch anymore. Even the title has gossip in it, THAT’S BAD! Is that not a MAJOR SIN accoring to SEVERAL RELIGIONS? And hell, common sense should tell you it’s bad too, but "common sense is not common." So yeah.

WHY is this happenning, I am SO CONFUSED!

Because people think that stupidity and evil is normal, and that it is something that they should conform to in order to get by in life.

This is the true horror of evil.

Publicly Funded Health Care In The United States?

Would Americans like Publicly Funded Health Care?

I live in South England and I am 18 years old and have used the NHS (National Health Service) all my life. I’m not quite sure where Americans got there stereotypical view of the NHS, maybe from politician’s and insurance company’s throwing lie after lie at you just to make a quick buck. But the NHS is a very good service, just as good if not better than the American health system, not my view as I have no comparison but the view of various doctors both American and British.

So now you know that Publicly Funded Health Care do you still want it. Well im guessing the obvious question is Yes. But let me stop you there. United States is by far the wealthiest country in the World, how is this possible you Outsource nearly everything and have little income from export excluding Oil. Billions of dollars is spent on health in the US every year the insurance companies are without doubt paying of the Government if they don’t then the US government introduces a Publicly Funded Health Care and the insurance companies loose billions.

It would be like Apple taking iPods of the market they would loose millions. So knowing that if Publicly Funded Health Care was introduces in the US you would loose allot of income and may have to pull out of conflicts such as Iraq and loose more money or decreasing the budget for military (We all know you Americans love those shiny ships and planes).

So tell me what you think

Oh and before you start calling me a limey twat who doesn’t know what you are talking about, consider this. Britain is a healthier country and I also have relatives that live in Chicago that tell me about the American health care system.

First of all, I’ll tell you that I am NOT for Obama’s health care plan. Actually, he doesn’t even have a plan. He had an idea and Congress is trying to come up with a plan.
It’s interesting to hear your point of view of your NHS. We hear lots of stuff about your NHS and hear about people having to wait too long for operations and such (which you probably haven’t needed).

Anyhow, here’s my opinion: Our health system is pretty good but the costs are getting totally out of control. One reason is because of lawyers. Unfortunately, Obama’s plan ignores dealing with lawyers, probably because they helped put him in office. Obama also complains that the cost is high because of a lack of competition but a way to handle that would be to get rid of the law that prevents buying health from another state. I could go on but I won’t. Obama is a looney to me and out of touch. He didn’t have enough experience but won because Americans felt guilty about how blacks were treated long ago and wanted to prove that things were different so they voted for him.

Can someone proofread my essay?

Just fix some grammar and spelling issues, and maybe gimme advice or whatnot. Thanks! you can send it after your proofread it to my email if you want! And please no rude comments on my position on health care.

“Great physicians and nurses, skilled, caring and unparalleled in their training, intervened in my life and probably saved it. I was lucky but other Americans are not. It is time to speak again and stand again for the ideal that in the richest nation ever on this planet, it is wrong for 41 million Americans, most of them in working families, to worry at night and wake up in the morning without the basic protection of health care.”
-Senator John Kerry

The United States of America is the only wealthy, industrialized nation in the whole world that does not offer some sort of socialized medicine. Our current health care system consumes more money than similar nations, yet still leaves over 42 million Americans uninsured. 42 million Americans live in fear that they will substain some sort of injury and illness that could potentially put them in major debt or bankruptcy. For the sole superpower in the world, this is unacceptable. Health Care is a fundamental right that should be upheld by the United States government in order to maintain public health and keep it’s citizens thriving. A system that allows health care only to be attained by your income or your employer’s benefits is contrary to the belief that Americans have the right to Life, Liberty, and pursuit of Happiness.

The United States of America spends more on health care than any other country in the world. Countries that utilize Universal health care are spending lesss money than the United States, yet still have a more effficent health care system. In the United States, total health spending accounted for 15.3% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the United States. In comparison, in Canada it was 10%, Switerland 11.3%, France 11.1%, and Germany 10.6%. The problem with the United States health care system is that that not all of this money spent on health care is actually getting to the hospitals and patients. A study shown at the Harvard Medical School found that Health care bureaucracy cost the United States 399.4 billion dollars in 2003, that is 31% of total health care spending in the United States (Thomson 62). Compare that to 16.7% for Canada (Thomson 62). Despite all these high costs of health care the United States still has over forty-two million people without health care and millions more with inadequate health care. It’s estimated that by switching to Universal health care the United States could cut back spending by as much as 286 million annualy. (Thomson 63). It is estimated that with the 286 billion dollars we’d save with a Universal health care policy, we would be enough to cover all of the uninsured and provide full prescirption drug coverage to everyone (Thomson 63).

The United States’s health care performance has been slowly going downhill since the 1980’s. With the colossal amounts of money that United States spends on Health care efficency would be expected. Twenty years ago the United States had the highest life expetancy with the same health care system we use today. As of today the World Health Organization (or WHO) ranked the United States thirty-seventh for overall health care performance (Thomson 56). This decrease in efficency is due to other countries adopting Universal health plans, leaving the United States in the dust. In Canada for example, Canadians live on average three years longer then their American-counterparts. The Canadian infant mortality rate also stood at 5.4 deaths per a thousand babies. In comparison, the United States’s infant mortality rate is 6.9, with countries like Japan, Sweden, Norway, and Finland all having some of the lowest infant mortality rates. Even countries in the developing world are suprassing the United States. A baby born in El Salvador for example, has a higher chance of surviving than a baby born in Detroit. This is all astounding considering the billions of dollars we spend on health care. Competing countries are spending less money per person for health care and yet still have a healthier public with no one uninsured. This is a wake-up call to the United States government; we need a national health care policy or we will fall behind other nations on general public health.

Over eighteen thousand Americans die every year of lack of health insurance; this denotes that Americans are suffering with lack of Universal health care. Granted, not all of uninsured Americans die, but the consequences can still be dire. Almost almost 50% of all bankrupcty filings cited as due to medical causes (Michael Moore) With Universal health care, these numbers would be nil. Even with our socalized medicine for seniors, Medicare, is ineffective. Medicare doesn’t cover all medical expenses. Medicare covers only 75% of the first 2,250 dollars worth of drugs
due tomorrow haha

When does this essay have to be proof read by?
I found a lot of mistakes that I would love to help you with, but at the moment I can’t because I am on Y!A doing research for an essay due tomorrow…

But I would love to help..

To start off…In the first sentence take away the word "whole" because when you mention something about the world, we already know that’s in referring to the whole wide world.
So just put…

The United States of America is the only wealthy, industrialized nation in the world that does not offer some sort of socialized medicine.

Secondly, I don’t think it’s right to start off a sentence with a number.

Like when you said "42 million Americans live in fear…."
Fix it and write "Forty-two million Americans live in fear…"

And right after that you wrote

"that they will substain some sort of injury and illness"
The correct word is "sustain"..
So just take away the "b"

:)

?

is this settlement fee enough?

Was in an accident a little over 2 years ago…late 20’s, first ever accident. Not sure if observed as other parties fault, but I’m sure it was (they ran stop sign in NY). Did pt for 3 months plus, then was cut off b/c insurance co. said they would not pay any more. Diagnosed with a tear & disc bulges and surgery & medication was suggested on my back and knee. During pt, treatment helped momentarily, but pain would resurface within hours. Now, everyday I am in pain ranging from moderate to "just can’t get up to go to work". Can’t really drive any more as a line of work and before all this my health was pretty decent. Lawyer came to me with a figure a little over $7500. What the heck is that in comparison to my pain for the rest of my life? Definitely will not accept but I need some idea of what to ask for and what should I do with a lazy lawyer who barely had a 5 minute convo with me since taking my case. Thanks guys!
got a response from my crackhead lawyer. he thinks $$ "is as good as it’s going to get". Can someone recommend a reputable lawyer or legal aid in NY City?

Sorry about your situation…but some lawyers want a quick fix, so they can move on to their next victim. The figure that he quoted…was that before or after his cut? Sounds like the one you have is what is sometimes called an ambulance chaser. Does he want to parade you around in a neck brace and crutches that he keeps in his office? I don’t mean to sound cold, but this is why the law profession doesn’t get the respect it once did. Do research, ask questions, and by all means don’t feel bad about giving your attorney the ol’ heave ho! He (or she) is supposed to be working for you, not cutting deals with insurance companies behind your back! Ever hear of the term "civil suit"? Good luck.

Suspended account, why?

This morning, I logged on and my account was suspended and I have no idea why. I have filled in the form to appeal, but find it a disgrace.

I was on level 5, and I believe have never violated the rules.

I have had a few answers removed, which I feel was unjustified, 3 examples was this:

Example 1:
Question: can a finance company take into consideration your disability money ?

Deleted Answer: This may help: http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/wales/life/debt.htm

——————————————————————————-

Example 2:
Question: Car Insurance 19years old ?

Question Details: Hello, im looking to insure and Renault clio 182 and im just wondering if you wonderful people know anywhere i could get it cheaper than £2600!!!

Deleted Answer: Various comparison sites such as: http://www.moneysupermarket.com http://www.uswitch.com http://www.confused.com

———————————————————————————-

Example 3:

Example 3:
Question: Do you have any money saving tips?

Deleted Answer: I found this useful: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com

————————————————————————
In response to example 1, which I recieved yesterday, I emailed to appeal the answer, which I wrote:

"Instead of me telling you why I feel it was removed in error, how about YOU tell me WHY instead.

Read the question and my answer and visit the link, CAB (CITIZENS ADVICE BUREAU) is a UK FREE service.

I demand an explaination of in writing why you feel I have broken the rules.

Thank you,
Craig"

——————————————————————

Was it because of the email I got my account suspended?
The links I was posting, which I fail to see what I did wrong?
Do you know who the CEO is?
An email address?
This may stupid, but what is a troll? How does it work? lol
I don’t know if it will work, but if anyone wants to my answers, my user name is:
welshlad_82

Hello Craig

From the three examples provided it would appear that your account may have been suspended for solicitation, the act of promoting others to perform an action such as visiting other websites.

While one can argue that posting a link can help answer a question, links should be used as a source were possible as opposed to being an answer. For example using your second answer concerning the car insurance, your answer could have posted some prices that you managed to find online and then provide the website(s) used as your source instead of simply posting links.

Having said this, this appears to be an honest mistake and certainly not grounds that Yahoo! Answers accounts are generally suspended for. You should wait for a responce from the appeal however remember to keep it polite and too the point, remember it’s not Yahoo! Answers customer care team’s fault that you may have accidentally posted content that broke the rules, and while one can understand your frustration as to the lack of information provided at present, staying positive and polite will be more likely to result with a happy outcome.

All the best
